How Julep works
1.
Guests open a tab on their phone
Guests scan a QR code, then securely open a tab using Apple Pay or Google Pay directly in their phone browser. Or in the Julep app. No handing over cards—or phones—to the bartender.
Guests with the app can also find the bar there, and save their payment information to open tabs in seconds.
2.
Order from the bartender as usual
Once a tab is open, it appears on the Julep Bartender app.
Guests order drinks directly from the bar, and staff keeps track of tabs as they normally would.
3.
Guest can close out & tip on their phone
Guests can request to close out and choose a tip on their phone, without waiting for a bartender to run their card or bring back a receipt. Or they can ask the bartender directly—either works!
4.
Bartender charges the customer in the app
When the guest is ready to pay, the bartender finalizes the tab and enters the sale amount on the Julep Bartender app to charge the customer's card.
