Natural wine has found plenty of different homes in Bushwick. You'll find low-intervention bottles poured on rooftops, alongside wood-fired pizza, in cozy French-inspired bistros, and at neighborhood bars where cocktails share space with orange wine and chilled reds.
Whether you're already enthusiastic about natural wine or simply curious to try something new, these six places offer different ways to enjoy it. Wine selections change often, so consider each description a guide to the bar's overall approach rather than a promise that a particular bottle will be available.

Cherry on Top
A playful natural-wine bar with a rooftop made for lingering.
📍 379 Suydam St, Brooklyn, NY 11237
Established in 2021.
Cherry on Top feels equal parts intimate wine bar and creative house party. Its red-and-white palette, vintage furniture, and playful handmade details make the downstairs space memorable, while the rooftop offers room to settle in with friends on a nice evening.
Natural wine is the main event here. The bar focuses on low-intervention bottles and rotating pours, making it a good place to explore chilled reds, orange wines, and unfamiliar producers without needing to arrive with a favorite label in mind.

Illustrator Cerise Zelenetz opened Cherry on Top in 2021 with hospitality partners Amir Nathan and Jordan Anderson. The name nods both to Zelenetz's first name—French for cherry—and to the building's past as an ice-cream production space.

The Ten Bells (Brooklyn)
Natural wine, oysters, and tapas just off Maria Hernandez Park.
📍 65 Irving Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11237
Brooklyn location established in 2021
Warm lighting, dark wood, and cozy seating give The Ten Bells the feel of a classic neighborhood wine bar. It works equally well for a date or a longer catch-up with friends, especially when you can take advantage of the outdoor patio.
Low-intervention wine is central to the offering, with bottles and by-the-glass selections alongside oysters and Spanish-inspired small plates. It is a particularly appealing choice if you want food to be part of the wine-bar experience rather than an afterthought.
Background
The Bushwick location opened in 2021 as the Brooklyn counterpart to The Ten Bells on the Lower East Side, an influential natural-wine destination dating to 2008. The space previously housed Walter's Coffee Roastery.
Bodega Nights
A newer neighborhood wine bar with Brazilian and Iberian influences.
📍 425 Troutman St, Brooklyn, NY 11237
Established in 2026
Bodega Nights is airy and welcoming, with high ceilings, a curved bar, skylights, and patio seating. It feels closer to a convivial neighborhood dining room than a tiny tasting counter, making it well suited to a leisurely meal and a bottle shared around the table.
Natural and minimally intervened wines are a core part of the concept, chosen to pair with a menu influenced by Brazilian, Portuguese, and Spanish cooking. Expect the wine list and food to work together rather than compete for attention.

Opened in March 2026 by Zoe Clifton and David Wilson, Bodega Nights is the couple's follow-up to Lower East Side natural-wine bar Babysips. The new restaurant occupies the former Rookery space and reflects the founders' connections to both Brazilian and Iberian food cultures.

Ops
Wood-fired sourdough pizza and a decade-long commitment to natural wine.
📍 346 Himrod St, Brooklyn, NY 11237
Established in 2016
Ops is cozy, casual, and food-forward, with a wood-fired oven anchoring its simple dining room. The mood is convivial rather than fussy: a place to split pizza, order another glass, and spend more time at the table than you originally planned.
Natural wine has been part of the restaurant's identity since it opened. A changing selection of low-intervention bottles complements its naturally leavened pizzas, so there's plenty to explore beyond the usual red-or-white pairing.
Background
Founded in 2016 by Mike Fadem, Marie Tribouilloy, and Gavin Compton in a former auto garage, Ops marked its tenth anniversary in October 2026. Its sustained focus on natural wine makes it one of Bushwick's longer-running destinations for the category.
La Cantine / Sunsets
A French-inspired café that becomes an intimate natural-wine bistro after dark.
📍 60 Saint Nicholas Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11237
La Cantine established in 2019; Sunsets began in 2022.
La Cantine is a bright, approachable neighborhood café during the day. In the evening, the Sunsets concept changes the pace: think a quieter, Parisian-inspired room made for conversation, small plates, and a slower glass of wine.
Sunsets pairs natural wines with a changing menu of French-inspired dishes. This is a good pick when you'd prefer a seated, low-key wine night to a crowded standing-room bar.
Background
Paris-born founder Ioana Hercberg opened La Cantine in 2019 as a breakfast-and-lunch spot, then introduced Sunsets in 2022. The evening concept grew from her wish for a more relaxed, French-style place to eat and drink in the neighborhood.

Palmetto
A retro neighborhood cocktail bar that also takes natural wine seriously.
📍 309 Knickerbocker Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11237
Established in 2020
Palmetto mixes warm, vintage-inspired decor, greenery, and a music-loving neighborhood crowd. It's more of an all-purpose bar than a dedicated wine room, with cocktails and vinyl DJ sets adding to the social, lively mood.
Natural wine is a regular part of the drinks offering alongside cocktails and beer. Palmetto makes sense for groups with different preferences: one person can explore a low-intervention pour while someone else orders a cocktail.
Background
Brought to life by Liz Stauber and Ryan Dolliver, along with other hospitality partners in the Brooklyn nightlife scene, Palmetto opened in early 2020 shortly before the pandemic upended New York nightlife. Its founders described wanting to create the kind of welcoming neighborhood bar that longtime Bushwick bartenders would enjoy visiting themselves.
Where should you drink natural wine in Bushwick?
For a dedicated wine-bar night, try Cherry on Top or The Ten Bells. Bodega Nights is a strong choice for natural wine with a full meal, while Ops is hard to beat if pizza is part of the plan. Choose Sunsets for a quieter evening or Palmetto when your group wants cocktails and wine under one roof.
Before heading out, check each venue's current hours, reservations, and wine list. The most interesting selections tend to rotate.
